About Me
Currently - Patagonia Product Designer I
Technical Sport & Sportswear

A multidisciplinary designer with a left-of-center perspective and the son of immigrants - where adapting, observing, and moving between worlds became second nature, shaping how I approach design. Drawn to the spaces between disciplines, where design becomes a conversation, ideas take shape in unexpected ways, and form follows feeling as much as function

Project 0  - Trail Running Innovation Concept
Concept Idea
Led  in concept and  design of a high-performance trail running emergency rain shell, partnering with an engineer to develop patterns and produce  early prototypes. Emphasized technical performance and user-centered functionality, resulting in a practical solution for unpredictable weather during long-distance and overnight trail runs.

The Powslayer Freeride Kit
Released Fall ‘25 - Designed in 2023
Concepted & designed in collaboration with lead designer, the Freeride Kit was conceived as a fully integrated system, where every element works in harmony. Each piece in the PowSlayer Freeride Kit has been carefully designed, patterned, and rigorously tested together to ensure seamless interaction - aligning pockets, cuffs, hoods, and features to maximize mobility, simplify adjustments, and provide effortless accessibility in demanding conditions.

Driven by the ambition to make the best even better, this system represents nearly a decade of cutting-edge innovation and athlete-led testing. Rather than simply refining the legendary PowSlayer series, the result is a purpose-built layering system tailored to the unique demands of big-mountain freeriding- performing from early morning ascents to the most technical and challenging descents.

NANO PUFF  Redesign
Updating an Icon
Released Fall ‘25 - Designed in 2023
Collaborated with the lead designer to reimagine the Nano Puff® Jacket, preserving its iconic warmth and packable comfort while refining the silhouette, updating colorways, and enhancing functionality. Designed as a weather-resistant, lightweight, and packable synthetic insulation layer, the jacket delivers reliable warmth even when wet and is built to withstand seasons of use, meeting the needs of climbers and high-output outdoor athletes.

Trail Outerwear Reset
Released Fall ‘24 - Designed in 2022
Led in the S24 Trail Running outerwear program from concept through commercialization, developing lightweight, breathable styles for both men and women. Focused on high-output performance, with an eight-week athlete field-testing phase to validate fit, mobility, and airflow in real-world trail conditions.

Houdini Stash – A hoodless, highly packable half-zip wind shell designed for take-it-anywhere weather resistance on high-output days.

Storm Racer – Ultra-lightweight and fully stashable, this 3-layer, waterproof/breathable performance shell, made from recycled materials, folds into its own chest pocket for quick deployment in sudden high-mountain weather.

Airshed Pro – A water-repellent wind shirt engineered for uncertain mountain weather. Fast-drying, ultralight, and breathable, it features a stretch-knit hood and lower sleeves, with a durable water-repellent (DWR) finish free of intentionally added PFAS, and packs conveniently into its own pocket for easy stowability.

Also - Worked closely with the creative team to design and produce visual and marketing assets for digital platforms, such as Instagram and e-commerce websites.

M’s & W’s Nano Air Bottoms -
Released Fall ‘24 - Designed in 2022
Owned the relaunch of the F24 Men’s Nano-Air Bottoms from concept through commercialization, leading the design and development of lightweight, highly breathable insulated styles optimized for high-output pursuits such as ice climbing. Collaborated with the Women’s lead to conceptualize and design the Women’s Nano-Air Bottoms, incorporating women’s heat regulation and layering considerations. Both men’s and women’s mid-layer bottoms reflect a product vision centered on mobility, thermal regulation, and protection in cold, variable conditions, informed by close collaboration with athletes.

Built M's Bottoms in-house alongside engineers and conducted rapid, real-world performance testing over four days of ice climbing in Bozeman, Montana.

M’s & W’s Triolet Jkt & Pant
Released Fall ‘23

Collaborated with the lead designer on concept development, design execution, and the creation of detailed product specifications for the Triolet Jacket and Pant - an alpine workhorse engineered for cold, snowy conditions. The Triolet Jacket features a durable, 3-layer waterproof, windproof, and breathable GORE-TEX ePE Performance fabric with a 100% recycled polyester face, delivering rugged protection. The fabric, membrane, and DWR finish are made without intentionally added PFAS.

Project 0 - Future Climb Focus
Concept built in 2023
As a forever  outsider to the outdoor industry, I observed that indoor climbing gyms - not traditional outdoor spaces -are where today’s climbing culture is being built. Gyms make the sport accessible, social, and repeatable, creating strong communities that naturally attract younger participants. This shift suggests that the future growth of outdoor climbing depends on recognizing and supporting indoor spaces as the true gateway to the sport.

ARCHIVE WORK- NIKE BASKETBALL CHICAGO
2019 - 2021
After being medically uncleared to play basketball in 2019, I faced a difficult pivot. The court that had defined so much of my identity suddenly felt out of reach, and I had to find a new way to connect with the game I loved. That’s when I turned to the arts - not as a sideline, but as a lens to understand the rhythm, the passion, and the culture that basketball inhabits.

By leaning into visual storytelling, I discovered a way to remain deeply engaged with basketball while no longer being at the center of the action. I began exploring how movement, community, and expression could be captured in ways that resonated with others who love the game. Every design, campaign, and creative concept became a form of participation - a way to channel the energy I once brought to the court into compelling narratives that celebrated the sport’s impact beyond the game itself.

This perspective ultimately brought me closer to basketball than I had ever been as a player. It allowed me to see the sport not just as a personal pursuit, but as a cultural force, a community builder, and a canvas for creativity. That understanding became foundational in my work with Nike Basketball Chicago, where I helped craft campaigns that honored the city’s diversity, amplified authentic voices, and connected with audiences in ways that were as much about feeling the game as playing it.

Through that journey, I learned that engagement doesn’t have to mean taking the shot - it can mean shaping how others see, feel, and celebrate the sport you love. And sometimes, stepping off the court is exactly what brings you closer to the game at its heart.

ARCHIVE WORK- NEW DAWN
UNDERGRAD CAPSTONE
May ‘21
This project merged from the intersection of my work in Open Studio and my studies in neuroscience my final year, where I explored the relationship between sensory input, cognition, and daily behavior. Through this combined lens, I became interested in how sensory sensitivities shape the way people experience something as routine—and critical - as waking up.

Research shows that one-third of Americans do not get sufficient quality sleep, leading to reduced efficiency, increased errors, and higher accident risk. Within this population exists a less-studied group: individuals with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), who often experience heightened challenges with waking and morning routines.

For New Dawn, I conducted in-depth research into sleep patterns, sensory triggers, and morning behaviors, then translated these insights into a design that makes the act of waking up smoother, more comfortable, and more effective for users with SPD.

By combining research-driven empathy with design innovation, New Dawn aims to improve not just waking up, but the overall start-of-day experience - fostering better sleep habits, productivity, and wellbeing for a population often overlooked in mainstream sleep solutions
